Untitled Document Nowadays, managing a modern and efficient airport and assuring a qualitative growth, is an hard challenge for airport operators. This ambitious target requires close relationship between all the entities and the systems within the airport community and intelligent use of information for tactical planning of the activities. Software Design considers of vital importance to create an ICT framework able to ensure high synergy and quality in the information management.
In order to meet these requirements, Software Design has created - in cooperation with BAA - unique and innovative solutions for total management and liberalisation of handling activities. These solutions comply with Italian current laws, and are open towards technological innovation and legacy systems.
To this purpose Software Design has developed a package of business solutions called AOSNice. AOSnice can be used by an airport through two different approaches : -
employing an operating framework which a technological airport can rise and grow up around. -
acquiring a collection of applications which can be installed in a stand-alone way or in a close cooperation with other AOS platforms. Software Design provides solutions for airport management which give a great importance to the processes as key elements to create flexible organizations and systems which assure high operative efficiency.
In the next future, airport authorities shall be called to offer common services in an environment of global management. AOSnice offers a transversal coverage of the new processes involved in these services. Such solutions provide huge operative and economical advantages, and are successfully employed in italian and international airports.
